Abstract

With this short article, I aim to analyse the changes caused in the institutional system by the pandemic crisis, as well as the possible consequent permanent transformations. This, also taking into account the fact that the European Union has in the meantime developed important political strategies in various areas and has, precisely as a result of the pandemic, reversed the policy of so-called austerity that had seemed an extreme cornerstone of European economic policy. Somehow, the Union has recovered some important values, first and foremost solidarity, to the point of launching a common debt strategy.
