Abstract
The future requires the sacrifice of individualism because forward-looking and pro-social strategies cannot but converge at the moment when the very concept of identity loses meaning. The dilation of the temporal frame goes to embrace deeper, more shareable values and it is here, in this distant future, that ethics can release us from the technical imperative of ‘do things right’ and redirect us towards the more deontological imperative of ‘do the right thing’.
