Abstract

This paper explores the relationship between social imaginaries, symbolic universes, and representations of the future through cross-media narratives, using the video game Fallout and the recent TV series as a case study. The research illustrates how cultural products can reflect collective perceptions of the future and representations of environmental apocalypse. Fallout, with its complex narrative and symbolic construction, provides a fertile ground for exploring these dynamics and understanding the interconnections between social imaginaries and contemporary media.
